If only photography was simply an equation that everyone could follow. Then every engineer would make awesome photographers! But, unfortunately, it’s not that easy. Photography is considered art, and well art is spontaneous more than planned. After investing a lot, or a little, money in getting camera gear, there is also the part about learning how to use that gear to your advantage, and getting the most out of it.
